Near real-time dashboard of Chile's economic indicators.
- Context
- Banco Central de Chile's SI3 API is hard to consume directly from the frontend and has non-trivial quirks.
- Role
- End-to-end design and development, frontend and backend.
- Solution
- A custom intermediate API built with Next.js Route Handlers that wraps the source, with in-memory cache and a fallback for upstream failures. Ten indicators (UF, USD, CPI, IMACEC, MPR and others) with a grid, historical chart, favorites and a converter.
- Outcome
- In production on Vercel, with unit tests in Vitest, end-to-end tests in Playwright and continuous integration on GitHub Actions.
